I TOO! don't think it would be significant enough to decide anything lol so probably wouldn't be an artistic choice by the author, rather just how japanese(language) works for beginner/younglings. kanji is just hard, like i have furigana marker extension on my pc as well.

I always thought it was more to do with the publisher in JP. banana fish looks like seinen but it's published as shojo. Their naming doesn't correspond the demographic, it's more of jps culture context/very specific topics to each publisher. Im not even sure they have same ratings sys as the west

U can paint the nail polish on glass bottle as decorations! I used to do this bc i like the glitter, also bc too young to wear it myself lol and yeah the heavy feeling is very real
