Nope, just a whole day of races. Horses tend to only race like 3x a month. There are several big purse (prize) races throughout day. There’s around 90 minutes between race 11 and the Derby where all the actual “pre-show” stuff happens on site. Then there’s 3 races after the derby that get no fanfare

Next year, they’ll splurge for seats with a cover or hospitality (I normally do both). But the “free” drinks (both price and flowing) keeps people happy even if stuck in the rain.

There’s 14 races today. 10 of them happen before the Derby. Five hours isn’t even the full coverage, it’s broadcast tv cutting in after several races. Peacock started streaming three hours ago.

I travel a lot. Usually have a ton of Ocean and Archipelago gifts throughout year with random meadow, marine, garden. I live in high plains. I’ll start with some ocean for you. 😊
