This is true. We will have a house full of OAPs on the 25th (P is 70 and the youngest of the 4 siblings) 😂

I'm a reasonably late convert to Christmas puddings (probably in the last 10 years or so, and they have to be *very* citrussy) and this year we're foregoing one in favour of my homemade Black Forest Trifle.

Its been moist overnight here but now dry, bright and sunny.

I see my breakfast is ready.

"and I've got...."

We have a Kenwood processor that's probs over 20 years old. And then hand mixers etc. But I really would like something that means I could dispense with some of the older bits.... and also not have to knead bread dough by hand (especially the wetter doughs).

I actually never wanted to be a nurse. I sort of fell into it. And I hated Casualty... still do.

Rather like The Bill or Casualty in the UK then.

I'm sure there are ways to get you to reach those notes.

Possibly one of the most joyous pieces of music ever across any genre. It defies you to not scream along whilst grinning like a deranged baboon and doing the dance of the mad bastard. Or is that just me?

I've continued work on the festive Morris hat today. With star anise.

And planning/designing decorations for the dining chairs on the day itself as we have guests.

if so, its a shared false memory or a system wide glitch as I remember it.

I think where "classical" falls down is not the music and production values, but rather with the artwork and packaging. Except in modern classical such as Glass where the design ethos can often owe more to popular music styles. To me, a perfect album must be perfectly packaged.
November 18, 2025 at 11:44 AM
Indeed. For me, its where I wouldn't change a note in terms of songwriting and sound architecture. But also, the package design and artwork has to transfix me as well as "fit" the music.

Its why I can only name two: A Trick Of The Tail and Hand Cannot Erase.
November 18, 2025 at 11:39 AM
I'd class that as "favourite" or "great" rather than "perfect".
November 18, 2025 at 11:35 AM
not a single thing you'd change.... artwrk, sound architecture, not one "average" track?
