The classic pre-2013 era ones still look so good!

That + the trend of holding lav mics is so annoying

Right in the mid-2011 MobileMe/iCloud transition! My Apple ID is old enough that I could have had a .me email but I guess I didn't know about it back then and never setup mail until it became iCloud :(

I think 60fps video has a place but it’s definitely situational, not for everything. When it’s used too much everything feels way too smooth, especially with how many people shoot on auto/on phones these days which often breaks the 180° shutter angle rule in favor of exposure with NDs

Saw a clip from it of him saying something like "It almost feels like cheating"
Yeah, because it fucking is!

Things to also not do: Ask for advice/help from real people who are enthusiasts on a forum/subreddit and then when they (correctly) answer your question, reply with "But GPT said [incorrect nonsense]. Are you sure you're right?"

I hope it arrives! I just ordered some mouse switches and scroll encoders the other day (thanks Logitech for awful stock components) and I'm hoping there won't be any major issues but hopes are quite low.

MS Licensing is a strange thing in general, like how the official way of using Enterprise on ARM is getting Pro and then converting it to Enterprise. Sometimes I'm still surprised that the MS Certified Refurb program gives Pro licenses even for consumer facing partners.

Or even the LTSC/IoT Enterprise variants too if you REALLY don't wanna play around, as long as you know the magic three letters that work on Pro too lol

I think Jeff mentioned it in his replies but OWC SoftRAID might be worth looking at!

I was never really a media server fan and was kinda put off by Plex in the past, mostly stuck with file browsers and VLC/MPV, but I finally tried Jellyfin and I’ve been liking it! Definitely prefer it over Plex, I love not having to make an account with a website for something I’m self hosting.

(2/2) main character plots. I guess to them ableism is only ableism if someone says a slur on twt or doesn’t believe their self diagnosis of rare mental disorders lol.

YEAH

I’m on SSI, Section 8, SNAP, and others and it’s disgusting seeing the Terminally Online Lefties who are supposedly so progressive and accepting wishing benefit cuts for republicans to teach a lesson that won’t be learned. Innocent disabled people aren’t pawns in their little imaginary (1/2)

Never knew SMART data could rollover like that, good to know to avoid perplexing mysteries.

Excited to watch this one later when I get home!
Idk if I could fully daily drive Linux myself (macOS has such a hold on my ND brain and routines lol) but I’ve been trying to use it on spare/utility systems when possible and I’ve been enjoying having less Windows nonsense around.

God same. I've seen some insane takes regarding local vs streaming but so far I've always been the one laughing with my 70GB iTunes library (it will always be called that to me lol) full of exclusive/bonus tracks and unreleased bangers that aren't even streamable anywhere.

idk if an app counts/how underrated it is, but I recently found LocalSend and it's been great for when I need cross platform AirDrop style functionality. Other than that, recently got a quadruple charger for Sony NP-FW50's and it's convenient, a bit slow but easier than cycling one or two at a time
