Apparently King, Shaheen, and Hassan if this is correct:

Spot on. I like at least 70% too. What most people don't know is that the top marginal tax rate was at least 70% and as much as 94% for some 45 years (~1935–1980)! The Eisenhower era (1953-1961) rate of 91% was in the middle of that period, and if we can't get that, it should be at least 70%.

The most important thing you'll ever read. It can't be emphasized enough that when the Eienhower top tax rate of 91% was degraded to 70%, then to 50% by Reagan—and now only 37%—it allowed the wealthiest to take control of our country for their own highly damaging purposes.

Trump corrected his original post ($75,000–>$75M) and added the below from the Ronald Reagan Foundation.

Not sure who at the Foundation thinks the ad "misrepresents" what Reagan said—it doesn't.

And given Reagan's speech is public domain/govt work +1st Amend it seems there are few "legal options."

It's bcz of "Starter Packs" – lists of recommended users to follow who share a similar interest (eg political viewpoint). A large acct will post one and users who see it will follow the recs and then get followed back themselves. It helps get people connected quickly but needs to be used w/ vetting.

I agree w/ everything you said but in a sane world we would hold the billionaires themselves to account by bringing back the highest marginal income tax rates of 70-90% that were in place for *50 years* prior to Reagan (ie before 1981).⤵️ Their wealth has made them an incredibly dangerous oligarchy.

What type of tree? Reminds me of a cedar elm I have on my property w/ unusual twisted/spiraling limbs. I've tried for several yrs to clone it and came close twice but it's very difficult due to its age. Just last yr it became infected w/ a disease (aftr an ice storm) I'm afraid has killed it.🤞

The most critical thing to understand about moderation/censorship on a social media site—and why it's so important—is that untruths (misinfo, lies & disinfo) spread *10x* faster than truths, so the damage is very hard if not impossible to undo. It's not like chatting w/ your neighbors or co-workers.

Trump's most important criteria for hiring is absolute loyalty (fealty actually) to himself above all else. The natural consequence is that the country will likely have to endure not only kleptocratic rule by a criminal fraudster but, even worse, a kakistocratic administration of the worst people.

It's appeared for a # of yrs that the GOP would like to turn America into a supersized version of Hungary, w/ a kleptocratic, theocratic authoritarian govt that, bcz of Trump's reqmt of loyalty to him above all, would also be a kakistocracy (the worst, least qualified & most unscrupulous in charge).

Many people are already familiar w/ "kleptocracy"(it literally means "rule by thieves").

Even worse for America under Trump is that it will be a "kakistocracy," where the worst, least qualified, most unscrupulous citizens become in charge due to Trump's requirement of loyalty to him above all else.
