I love playing Joust with (against?) my friends on the PC with MAME using the XArcade dual joystick.

Ahh, so dusty, I need to clean up!

I was going through my Switch games last night and decided to play Dadish, which has such awesome game difficulty/balance. I have a game well in progress, & I think I may be on the last level, but its so hard, deliciously so.

My first computer was a PCjr, & I typed in BASIC games from COMPUTE! magazine. IBM PC DOS & extensive manuals helped me learn DOS

Best games: Jumpman, Kings Quest, Ultima III, Pinball Construction Set, Wizardry, StarFleet Battles, Zork, Gato, & HardHat Mac. Every one of those games is worth playing

Warlords was one of my favorite Atari 2600 games, especially playing 4-player with my cousins at Christmas.

I never did understand what the player icon was supposed to represent. It looks like the ship from Defender.

I think of the 3DO daily, and it's my #1 played system.

I love the GameGear & always used it at home, so didn't worry about batteries. I had a period of time where I moved to a new apartment & didn't have a TV. I used my GameGear w/TV adapter. I want to remember that I played Sega Genesis games using the GameGear screen as the monitor. #thoseWereTheDays

A review of SC1 would be a nice prequel retrospective for your SC2 retrospective. SC1 is more direct strategy with resource building & starship fleet management as you navigate a rotating 3D nebula of stars, which can have mines, bases, & precursor ship upgrades. I liken it to Chess with spaceships.

When Travolta tries to get money for the mob by robbing a bank, the teller Olivia Newton John decides to give him a bag blank paper, while stealing the money for herself. While the 2 lead characters are American sweethearts, the angels (& the Devil) provide the most fun as they try to interfere/help

Two of a Kind: Olivia Newton John & John Travolta.

When God comes back from vacation & decides to flood the world & start over, a group of Angels has to prove humankind is worth saving, using Travolta as an example--trouble is, the mob is after him for money he borrowed to invent edible sunglasses

I like Club Paradise. Great cast: Robin Williams, Peter O'Toole, Rick Moranis, Eugene Levy, Brian Doyle-Murray, Twiggy. It has sweet Reggae music & a nice message about standing up to developers coming to take everything, including the small resort Robin Williams just bought into, Club Paradise.

CD-I was never a legit gaming system. The 3DO had the best Madden football available, FIFA, Slam n Jam basketball, PGA golf, Gex, & Star Control. Crystal Dynamics & EA were the best of 3DO. Not having a great 1st party studio killed the system when 3rd party devs went on to the next great console

I worked at Babbages (pre-GameStop), and after closing the store one day, we had 6 employees playing FIFA Soccer on 3DO using the daisy chain controllers. Until the mall cop came and ran us off from our own store, just because the mall was officially closed. Great multiplayer gaming.

To be frank, I played it through, was not greatly impressed with the gameplay of then pack-in game, Altered Beast, and proceeded to play all the other games I got for the system instead.

Sadly, I've only played it 1P vs. computer. How was it better for 2P, was the screen split differently?

Killer Cuts is one of the best videogame music soundtracks ever.

Genesis had the plastic cases at retail (except for some releases like the Ballistic games (Hardball, Star Control, Turrican) and a few others.

I do like the big artwork on the Intellivision boxes. Their cardboard durability wasn't great though. Most of mine have a smashed look to them.

Carmen Sandiego for the Genesis: I can feel the one-inch thick plastic box, and when you open it, there's a Detective's Manual

I love old school packaging, and the Genesis clamshell cases were the best ever video game case.

My fav replay game is Icebreaker (3DO), which has 150 levels. I can play a level & win in a 15-min session, or lose repeatedly in seconds.

I've played it for decades trying to beat all levels & Icebreaker2's 118 levels.

I like games that you can dip into for short periods & still enjoy long term.
