1/ Exactly one year ago, on Nov 19, 2024, 19-year-old Mate Davidze was violently arrested at a protest and charged with assaulting a police officer. Months later, he was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison. Today, on the 357th day of continuous protest, a march was held in his honor.

The court has sentenced Irakli Okruashvili to 7 years over the Buta Robakidze case, while former Prosecutor General Zurab Adeishvili was acquitted. Okruashvili is already in prison - he was sentenced for 8 months for refusing to attend GD’s investigative commission on UNM crimes.

The GD MFA responds to the EU’s decision to cancel the human rights dialogue. Per Realpolitika.ge, the EU objected to GD’s attempt to include a sanctioned individual in the delegation. GD says this shows Brussels is not ready to hear the Georgian side.

1/ The Anti-Corruption Bureau was established as part of a priority task set by the European Commission for granting Georgia EU candidate status.
🚨 GD is abolishing the Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Personal Data Protection Service. The functions of both agencies will be fully transferred to the State Audit Service.

🚨 The bodies of all 20 people aboard a Turkish military cargo plane have been found at the crash site and nearby areas in Georgia. The plane, flying from Azerbaijan to Turkey, crashed on Nov 11 about 5 km from the Azerbaijan–Georgia border in Sighnaghi municipality.

On November 4, teacher, historian, researcher, and mother of nine children, Rusiko Kobakhidze, was sentenced to three days in prison for blocking a road. She had already been sentenced to one day in prison for blocking the road on November 5.

The third President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, has been transferred from the Viva Medi clinic back to prison. Saakashvili was arrested in Georgia on October 1, 2021. He began a hunger strike and was transferred to the clinic on May 12, 2022, due to deteriorating health.

Irakli Khmaladze served in the role since May 15, 2025, after serving as Tbilisi Deputy Mayor under Kakha Kaladze since 2017. According to multiple journalistic investigations, Khmaladze does not officially own any property, although he is alleged to be a millionaire in reality.
