I haven’t been on in a minute please pray for St. Louis. The devastation is unreal. These are two of three congregations that friends lead that have sustained significant damage. I arrived a couple of hours before the tornado. Thankfully my family is safe but many aren’t.

Today I remember Harriet Tubman. She escaped this earthly plane on this date in 1913. Yet her wisdom and courage is still reverberating around the globe. It is that wisdom that we need to conjure up now.
I am in solidarity with many people today I chose to stand for myself and Black women and rest.

We need more courageous leadership like @algreen.house.gov. Stand for something or fall for anything.

@algreen.house.gov thank you for your courage. The Party should have walked when you did! We will see your colleagues in the primaries! Keep fighting for the people.

242 years ago today Rev. Jarena Lee was born. She was the first woman to licensed to preach in the A.M.E. church by Bishop Allen in 1819. Richard Allen refused to ordain her but she kept preaching. She was ordained posthumously in 2016, thanks to the leadership of Dr. Teresa Fry Brown!

2 long days of strategizing with organizers; on the 🚊 wiped out but headed home after missing 1; Wednesday we’ll talk about ethnic cleansing in Gaza & the risk of a new enslavement trade as El Salvador wants to buy the incarcerated. On the 🎂 of Rosa Parks be reminded that organizing works.

How apropos in this moment and month to spend a day strategizing in a room named on honor of this freedom fighting organizer.

‘Twas the night before Founders’ Day & all thru the DELTA House, Sorors were texting & posting shoutouts.
Voter registrations, marches to the Capitol, & fighting for justice and sisterhood abounds;
Where there is service, justice and sisterhood a DELTA woman is sure to be found!

Today is the State funeral of President Carter. He was one of a kind and embodied his faith. It is a stark contrast of how faith is now weaponized in the political arena. I am grateful for his life and these memories. Well done good and faithful servant.

Don’t only “watch, fight and pray” but if I can add to it in 2025 be prepared to Move or ACT
Watch: Be aware of what is in your surroundings that makes you uneasy and for opportunities.
Fight: To keep your peace and freedom.
Pray: For discernment and in all things.
Move/ACT: Unapologetically!!

If you have ever had a near death experience and even if you haven’t Jamie Foxx’s new Netflix will touch you in deep places and of course make you laugh. Grab the tissue, Netflix and chill!
I too petitioned GOD for my life and to walk.
Thank you GOD, all who prayed and cared 4 me and Jamie!

Returned from my retreat and made a couple of stops to get medicine for my soul. Normally I would be irritated by these premature Christmas decorations but a salesperson reminded me that “we” “need all of the joy we can handle, for as long as we can handle it!”
