What's it to ya
@ptwhyte.bsky.social
63 yr old retired union carpenter, veteran. Some would say, well, who gives a rats ass what they say. Sic semper evello mortem tyrannis.
Sen. Kelly is a decorated Combat pilot. The tRumpedo is a 5 time deferment draft dodger. Hogsbreath is a drunken idiot who thinks he is Mark Anthony in the Roman Empire. Neither of them could fly any plane, much less survive a combat mission in one. Sen.Gallego is correct in his assessment.

Notice the use of em dashes in Hegseths message. A pretty clear sign it was written by chatGPT that fool can't even write his own social media posts

He has said he wants to deploy US troops on American soil against civilians he doesn't like ("leftists," "activists," "protesters," Democrats, etc.) which, if he issued such orders would be absolutely illegal. A president is not a king; nothing in the Constitution gives him the rights of a king.

His orders, through Hegseth, to move a carrier group from an important area of national security to one that need not be that important, and to kill foreign nationals on the high seas without investigation whether a legitimate cause exists, violating international maritime law...are illegal.

block if it came to a court-martial...the court was highly likely to agree the order was illegal. The kinds of orders Trump has given to non-military and quasi-military personnel include illegal orders (to ignore Constitutional rights, use warrantless arrests, ignore civil rights, etc.)

They were not fomenting sedition (as Trump himself did in the runup to J6); they were being the necessary bulkhead of law against lawlessness in the military. In those instances, the officer who issued the illegal order rescinded it *because he knew it was illegal and it would be HIS neck on the

on that original letter is factually WRONG. It is a lie. Hegseth's statement is wrong, and NOT in accordance with military or civil law. While serving in the military, I knew people (and am married to one person) who were issued unlawful, illegal orders and did not obey.

in OCS at Quantico, VA about the irrefutable *duty* of military officers to refuse ILLEGAL orders. Not just orders we didn't like or didn't agree with but those that qualified as ILLEGAL orders. Trump's insistence that whatever the President does is ipso facto legal is factually wrong. His attack

Hegseth himself is a disgrace to the Defense Department. In this instance he shows his own disgusting contempt for the Uniform Code of Military Justice AND the Constitution. Or an unforgiveable ignorance of both. I think it's contempt. As a veteran of the Vietnam War era military, I was taught

It's mind-boggling that all of these weak ass chumps constantly try to go after people like Kelly, who actually accomplished something. Hogsbreath must be suffering from TinyDickSyndrome.
