It is extrordinary unpleasent having cyclists hurtling past you at close quarters on the pavement.
Just because they are less dangerous than cars doesn't make it acceptable.
It really is time to stop trying to justify selfish behaviour with whataboutery.

These things are an urban blight, as are ALL e-scooters.

Great for cyclists, useless for pedestrians. We *STILL* have cyclists CYCLING on the pavement, and Lime bikes littering it.

The problem is that whenever anybody complains about cyclists, e-scooters, or e-bikes being ridden - often at speed - on the pavement, somebody is sure to respond that cars are more dangerous - unfortunately, this does not make the problem go away. It certainly does not here in London.
