Historical literacy and public memory are essential to freedom, justice and democracy 19thnews.org/2025/12/asia...
Asian-American nurses were WWII heroes. History left them behind.
Their stories surfaced in fragments, often only within families. A coalition led by Asian American women is pushing Congress to make them part of the official record.

I've been thinking similar things for some time. I found this piece really useful, particularly the idea of "calling forward" #ResistanceSyllabus theconversation.com/shaping-the-...
Shaping the conversation means offering context to extreme ideas, not just a platform
Should all points of view be heard from? Defending certain values and ideas makes it a bit more complicated than simply listening to all sides.

Greg Bovino is back in Chicago, and ICE has been spotted in the Evanston area.

The best way to keep our loved ones safe is to alert the community whenever possible. Whistles are one of the most accessible tools to warn neighbors and disrupt ICE incursions.

Come pick up a whistle, if you need one!

#ItWelcomeToDerry is actually better than either of the two "It" films. The season finale had scares and heart. I'm genuinely curious to see where this show goes from here. And a Dick Halloran spin-off would be great.

Remarkable how brutal the ruling against Trump on Abrego Garcia truly is: It details flagrant and malicious abuses of power all throughout. Trump and Stephen Miller were testing their ability to spread lawless state terror. But the court held the line. 1/
