"Our" planet? In the capitalist scheme, it's the capitalist's planet. "We" are just a labour resource to be bought as cheaply as possible when needed and disposed of when not. Even in the broad view, the planet is not "ours". We are just a species it cooked up to amuse itself for a few millennia.

Not really. It's just what happens when you switch from believing what "the right" (i.e. conservatives) say about themselves and "socialists" to observing the world directly as it really is.

But if you are "working 2-3 jobs trying to earn the rent, you don't have time to worry about anything besides dealing with what's in your face right now", you should be very VERY aware that "America" has not delivered on what it promised you.
