Doomsday- 5/10
Fine I guess. Not letting nostalgia effect this one cus its so iconic, but really is just so bland. Fittingly high stakes sounding but really doesn't go more specific than that

Army of ghosts- 8/10
Sounds really cool and fits well. Arguably it spoils the twist a little but personally I find it mysterious enough that army doesn't immediately read as hostile. In fact it then seems more meaningful in retrospect. Not like the ghosts being hostile is hidden for long anyway

Fear her- 2/10
I might be missing something, but if this is literally just woo scary girl everyone's so scared of her that sucks. Even besides being cringe, it goes against the whole message of the episode, they were wrong to fear her and showing her compassion instead wouldve fixed the problem

Love and monsters- 9/10
Ok hear me out... or don't, tbf I'm hearing myself out, but this one is kinda perfect? I kinda hate it, I kinda love it. Its really cringe but also I do kinda get what they're going for. In other words, a perfect microcosm of the episode
August 24, 2025 at 6:21 PM
The Satan pit- 8/10
Another very cool one, and suitably ominous, but, depending on your read of the episode, potentially spoils the reveal and/or is too specific. Tbf, probably should be a little lower because of that, but I'm biased

The impossible planet- 10/10
Aura.
August 24, 2025 at 6:14 PM
The idiots lantern- 5/10
Not sure that I quite get the vision. I know its a term for TVs, but kinda falls flat it its just that with no extra meaning. Could be talking about the dad as 'the idiot' but then it feels a little odd to then just be focusing on his tv, a weird one.

Age of steel- 5/10
As I said before, these two really should've been swapped. A decent title but rise of the cybermen fits better here. Hardly an age is it, more evening of steel if it is specifically referring to the cybermen
August 24, 2025 at 6:09 PM
Rise of the cybermen- 5/10
A fine enough title, but it does kind of ruin the reveal. This 2 parter fits much better with the titles swapped in my opinion, age of steel then playing into the overuse of technology that let the cybermen take over
August 24, 2025 at 6:06 PM
The girl in the fireplace- 8/10
Yeah not much to say here, fits well and has a nice ring to it
August 24, 2025 at 6:00 PM
School reunion- 6/10
I could kinda go either way on this one, it's a fitting and kinda cute pun, but I'm kinda conflicted on whether I actually like it or not. Nothing wrong really though
August 24, 2025 at 5:59 PM
Tooth and claw- 4/10
Well I have about as much to say about this title as the episode. It fits... I guess. It sounds kinda cool... I guess. Whatever
August 24, 2025 at 5:52 PM
New earth- 3/10
I was ready to be like well its a pretty generic 'place the story takes place' title but after thinking about it the planet itself is pretty irrelevant to this episode. Feels clickbaity almost, wanna see what new earth looks like? Cool, we're not really gonna show you
August 24, 2025 at 5:49 PM
The Christmas invasion- 7/10
Feels wrong going higher than this, but i really don't have any issues with this one. It's an invasion, its on Christmas. The kind of name that could be annoyingly simple, but in this case, especially for the first Christmas special, its perfectly simplistic
August 12, 2025 at 2:26 PM
The parting of the ways- 6/10
I always assumed this was a reference to something, apparently not. Kinda generic in that case, but does feel suitably weighty for such a high stakes story. Not technically inaccurate either, there's a lot of parting of ways, just idk doesn't quite hit for me
August 12, 2025 at 2:23 PM
Bad wolf- 6/10
A little conflicted on this one too. Not massively relevant to this specific story and feels like it would have been more fitting for part 2. It is a good name for the 2 parter in general though and does fit both, just feels like they could have done better
August 12, 2025 at 2:18 PM
Boom town- 5/10
I do appreciate the pun, but that doesn't help this one too much. The nuke situation is resolved very early on, and while it arguably comes back in the end, the majority of the episode is focused elsewhere, and it does feel like the title should reflect that
August 12, 2025 at 2:14 PM
The doctor dances- 4/10
I guess there's some merit in this title somewhat representing the ending of this episode while being confusing enough to not give away the happy ending from the offset, however all the dancing stuff is one of the worst parts of this episode and a weird thing to name it after
August 12, 2025 at 2:07 PM
The empty child- 9/10
Trying not to let my love of the episode affect this ranking, I do think this is fair. A perfectly ominous and intriguing name for both the episode and the child
August 12, 2025 at 2:02 PM
Father's day- 2/10
Even worse than aliens of london, at least that one sounded cool. This feels much more like there's supposed to be a pun or double meaning but there just isn't. Its about roses father, that's it. Maybe if the whole day was looping it would work, but it's not
August 12, 2025 at 2:00 PM
The long game- 6/10
I used to consider this a pretty meh title for a pretty meh episode, but in hindsight with the context of the finale it kinda fucks... still don't love it love it though
August 12, 2025 at 1:55 PM
Dalek- 10/10
Similar situation to rose but even better here. This episode flawlessly introduces the daleks to the new audience, bringing in one and dedicating an episode to establishing their motivations, strengths, weaknesses, and exactly why they're scary. Can't think of a better title for that
August 12, 2025 at 12:43 PM
World War three- 5/10
Kinda torn on this one, suitably high stakes and not necessarily super inaccurate? But it does also feel kinda clickbaity. Idk, I could go higher, I could go lower
August 12, 2025 at 12:22 PM
Aliens of london- 3/10
There sure are aliens, and they sure are in London. One of many where it feels like I'm missing something, but as it is yeah this is pretty shit
August 12, 2025 at 12:16 PM
The unquiet dead- 9/10
Really good, unusual choice of wording that both sounds suitably old fashioned while also setting the spooky tone perfectly. Just has a great sound to it and fits really well
