Like most people, I was born, I eventually grew up, and here we are.
It's not about how much it can do, it's about how it feels. I've got both, and I use them both. I play gb/gbc carts exclusively on the Chromatic because it feels more authentic. The Pocket feels more like a modern handheld emulator device, albeit a high-end, remarkably smooth one.

The Chromatic is definitely the superior choice. It simultaneously feels more authentic and feels like it's what Nintendo was trying (and failing) to do. I grabbed one at GameStop on release day and it was worth every cent.

Check out the ModRetro Chromatic. It really feels like a modern day Gameboy. It can play any GB/GBC carts whether they're original or indie.

I actually started with an old home version of Pong that I found at a garage sale. It hooked up to your TV, had a pair of hard-wired paddles, and played Pong. Nothing else, just Pong.

I haven't read it yet but so far none of your books have been like anything else I've ever read.
