Rather late to the party but I'm really enjoying the various AMC series that make up Anne Rice's Immortal Universe. I've finished Interview with the Vampire and am now working my way through the Mayfair Witches before I watch Talamasca: The Secret Order

The budget didn't bother the powerful.

No windfall tax on banks. Govt subsidy of £23bn+ continues.

No windfall tax on energy companies, £125bn profit since 2020.

Corporate profiteering and subsidies continue. No curbs on corporate welfare.

85,500 have wealth of £2.8 trillion, hardly touched.
The government’s budget is simply managing decline
The budget does little to improve living standards or facilitate sustained economic growth

Went to see Bad Lads at the Unity Theatre this evening, part of this years Homotopia festival. I can't say I enjoyed the performance - I found it challenging and unsettling. I am glad I went to witness it though.

On its 75th anniversary, here's a reminder:

The ECHR defends your rights to speak out, to live freely, to be treated fairly.
When politicians attack it, they’re attacking us.
We need to fight back

Tories and Reform want to quit the European Convention on Human Rights.

Since 1980, the ECHR court has heard 29 cases of immigrant deportation. UK won 16. No defeats in the last 5 yrs.

Quitting ECHR won't fix illegal immigration, will destroy our freedoms and rights.
