With the potential punishment of the 115 charges looming in the distance and the surgery needed on this squad, it's going to be very interesting to see what Man City can even do to try and fix their issues. I don't envy the people in charge of next summers transfers.

It's insane that a team that has such lofty goals can be doing things like having their left-back as their 2nd best goal threat, playing non entities as wingers in a front three, starting players whose best years are behind them like Walker and Gundogan.

There's also the issue of the midfield, or rather, lack of it, this season. The failure to future-proof for De Bruyne and Bernardo or bring a back up for Rodri has left them with a selection of midfielders that are probably fine additions to an already competent team but struggle as a unit together.

So much of what's wrong with that squad is down to the decisions that have been made in recent transfer windows. Lack of goals from out-wide, what seemed like a trademark of Guardiola's time at Man City is a standout.
