I created this account to share some of my writing. Here's a poem I wrote a little over a year ago.
Semicolons turn into periods if no one wipes away the tears Not many people realize how much they take for granted. Not until it’s too late. Not everyone gets the chance to say goodbye. My greatest regret, the worst of my life Keeps me up and feeds me strife. It claws at my throat and leaves me empty Knowing that, without it, I am lonely. A sad silhouette, a well for my tears. Reminiscing memories spanning the years. Running over every fight and every row Then they say “It’s not too late, let’s go.” Gliding through the graveyard like a ghost Present and also not, numb at the most. We reach your bed, see where you sleep Your shining joy, how dare this darkness keep. My greatest regret, the worst of my life Keeps me up and feeds me strife. My greatest regret, all because of you. Why didn’t I see it before Death took you?
