I visited Stonewall back in 2018 on transgender day of visibility after speaking at the NYC LGBT center with Athlete Ally and NBA player Reggie Bullock. My friend Honey is in the photo, she use to give educational tours for the monument. Keep Stonewall transgender!!

As a transgender woman in sports, I was bullied into attempting suicide by my own coach. It was heartbreaking when the community I gave everything for became the very source of my greatest fears. I loved playing volleyball, and nothing will take away that it made me a stronger and better person

As a trans woman in college sports, I wore this spandex under my uniform to keep everything together. It caused me minor heat stroke episodes, and every school's athletic trainer knew me by name. I suffered for the sport I love and the chance to play on a team I could identify with.

As a transgender athlete, I worked hard and acceled in my classes. I achieved the women's scholar athlete hall of fame award at my community college with a 3.92 GPA, and I was in 5 honors programs. Sports helped me be my best self, and I was proud to do my best in every facet of my life.

As a transgender woman who competed in women's sports, i promise I didn't dominate the game and ruin it for my teammates. I did my best like everyone else and genuinely enjoyed being part of a team. Transgender athletes aren't the problem, and we shouldn't be hated for pushing ourselves to improve.
