Otis & Ranger are wearing their super warm Winter coats that Grandma bought them to go play in the snow. Ranger is giving his best boy smile. Grandma can't go see them right now because I'm recovering from surgery, but my daughter & SIL keep me well supplied with daily pictures. I sure do miss them.

It looks a lot like the one I found in the back yard earlier this summer. It's most likely a False Wolf Spider, non-venomous, eats mosquitos , and is beneficial to have around.

When squirrels get overheated, they "sploot" which is to say they lay flat on their tummies to cool down. I put water out for my squirrels & rabbits today because the temperature is in the 90's. One of them is getting a good drink in the second picture.

I haven't felt good about my home state of Indiana for many years, but I was pretty damn proud of the Hoosiers that showed up today. It was a peaceful demonstration at the state house. I felt like I'd found my people.
