Old. Cranky. Childless. Cat Lady.
I was a practicing lawyer before either of them was even born, but I suspect getting through law school is still as much (maybe more) about tenacity as about intelligence. And they're both apparently very good at saying what their clients want to hear, which is also popular with law profs.

And sometimes "eeny-meeny-miney-mo" produces an acceptable result, but that doesn't seem like a really good reason to risk the future of the world on it.

You didn't really think it was going to be fun, now did you? Seriously, from someone ousted from the top 10% academically to the bottom half of the class when I went to law school, it'll sting for awhile, but when you're a real-life lawyer, no one will ever ask about this semester or that essay.

"What does that mean?" is a question that is not posed nearly often enough to apologists for this regime.

Because she's an attention whore?
December 14, 2025 at 3:24 PM
Well, good for bipartisan you, but wtf does support for families of firefighters lost to cancer have to do with the national defense?
December 13, 2025 at 7:47 PM
Fun fact: There are roughly 1.5 million more voters in Texas registered as D than as R. The challenge is getting them to get out and vote despite the constant media message that Texas is a "red" state.

How is that a "stunning admission"? He knows nothing about anything beyond what will gratify him in the moment.
December 9, 2025 at 6:04 PM
Probably because they couldn't find anyone other than the felon-in-chief to say nice things about the "honorees" and it would have been awkward to have them sit in the VIP box for a couple of hours just staring at an empty stage while the felon slept.

So, he had a briefing where he avoided asking any questions which might have produced answers that would have cast doubt on the explanation being promulgated by the regime? Willful ignorance is purposeful collaboration.

So she and her fellow members caught up in the cult which is currently attempting to destroy our society . . . . they'll all be leaving soon?
December 7, 2025 at 6:22 AM
Does he not realize that "culturally normal" for the U.S. is racist, misogynistic, homophobic and xenophobic? Or does he not have a problem with any of that? He should stick to being a smart-ass troll.

Do not politely ask for her name to be removed from documents. Demand that courts treat anything she signs as void ab initio and proceed as if those documents never existed.

"Sleeping at cabinet meeting not abnormal for a 79-year-old" is just one of the reasons that maybe 79-year-olds shouldn't be president.
December 6, 2025 at 1:49 AM
And every freakin' one of them (including me, I'm a Texas D) needs to get out and vote EVERY TIME.
December 6, 2025 at 1:31 AM
I'm guessing this is what tech bros consider edgy and hard-hitting (as opposed to juvenile and ridiculous).
December 5, 2025 at 6:55 PM
She says Texas "is a Republican state" as if no Democrats live there. Does she think Ds in states where a majority votes R should have zero voice in their state or federal government? Does she feel the same way about Rs in states where a majority votes D?
December 5, 2025 at 6:49 PM
My first thought was "When do we get to start kicking it?" And I'm not even a soccer fan.
December 5, 2025 at 5:38 PM
Could we please get rid of the word "gerrymandering" and call it what it actually is - cheating. The statewide Texas vote for reps breaks roughly 50-50 (~8 million R, ~7 million D), but the current delegation is 2/3 R, and the Rs are now trying to make it 3/4 R. This is the antithesis of democracy.
December 5, 2025 at 12:58 AM
Seriously? Two men were going to salvage their water-logged drugs and swim with them to the United States? Hegseth and his henchmen think we're all as stupid as they are, don't they?
December 4, 2025 at 8:08 PM
Yep. He's easily (i.e., cheaply) corrupted and he opposes abortion. That's all rethuglicans need to know.
December 3, 2025 at 8:01 PM
Any possibility Mr. Jeffries would care to explain exactly what has happened that makes "the border" any more secure today than it was when this regime assumed power?
December 3, 2025 at 7:31 PM
However they style themselves, they supported dominion over democracy. Bury the remnants of the Republican Party ethos and salt the earth.
December 3, 2025 at 7:14 PM
The most senior Defense Department official is patently untrainable, and he has apparently chosen as senior advisors only people who are reproductions of himself, so trying to train them on anything is wasted effort. Focus on limiting the damage they can do.
December 3, 2025 at 6:28 PM
How/why does anyone with an ounce of self-respect put up with that? Do they not realize how desperately pathetic they look?
