Nothing against Animotion (and Zappa’s own direct work as well), but I think the best thing he did was through his then brand new record label, producing this:

The story about his son’s congenital heart problems was also very moving and he did a great public service by sharing it.

I knew from day 1 of his show (Kimmel informed his audience then of this connection) but he showed with his breaking heart what that meant. Kimmel wears his heart on his sleeve as he has shown similar emotional difficulties when he talked about his uncle Frank’s and other cherished ones’ passing.
