This took like 4hrs which is way too freaking long for one of these dumb lists. That is with me limiting myself to Consoles only. I couldn't imagine adding arcade, pc and handhelds too.

These are my fav games for each yr starting in 1986. I obviously didn't play all of these at the yr of release.

I got to see TMNT in theaters last night. It held up so well and was excellent. It's amazing how much good practical effects can ensure a certain level of watch ability forever.

I'm very happy that I got to see Dogma in theaters last night! I saw it in theaters in 1999 but that ass time ago. I think this movie is still relevant, meaningful and is definitely my favorite Kevin Smith flick.

I beat Castlevania Aria of Sorrow last night. It was an excellent game and easily the best of the GBA trilogy. I enjoyed Circle of the Moon as well but I am not sure if I can go back to finish Harmony of Dissonance. That game looked weird and felt worse. I put a lot of time in but didn't have fun

Had a great time at @frostyfaustings.bsky.social , helping with @956.productions brackets and competing. Happy CFL came out in force too! Also appreciative of Chicago's finest @arshad_k and @xagrandk.bsky.social. Always great seeing them and glad I made it out to @loganarcade.bsky.social for ST.

Car parts for our 04 STi. The journey to ruin it has begun lol.

I'm very happy I finally managed to get the Mew card in the mobile Pokemon game! Mew is by far my favorite Pokemon and always has been since I read about him in an old gaming magazine.

Final fantasy X is definitely in the top tier FF games of all time. I bought a used PS2, this game and GT3 right after Xmas in 2001. I was awe struck by the blitz ball cutscene and definitely watched it more than a few times. The characters, story and systems were top notch and still hold up.

I'm posting a picture of the cabinet for S.T.U.N. Runner because it blew me away as a kid. It was so cool to look at and sit down at. I loved this game too although I don't remember ever being any good at it.

Who doesn't love Pokemon? My brother and I each got this game, Christmas of 98 I think. I had the blue version. My favorite Pokemon was and is Mew. I definitely bought a GameShark just to get a Mew because I couldn't get any of the rumored ways to get it in game to work.

Very few platformers put a smile on my face like Kirby. I don't play them nearly as often as MegaMan but Kirby games always bring joy. I love most of them but Kirby's Dreamland 3 definitely stands out for me.

I don't know about you but my soul still burns for this game. SoulCalibur series has been great from the jump but none could match the perfect amount of simplicity, depth and feeling of the 8way run as SC2. This game, like SSF2T is a great starting point for the genre. It might be too good...

Remember when games used to be weird and experimental? Well I do and one of my favorites was ActRaiser on SNES. It was both a simulation (think SimCity) and a platformer. I love this game and would do my own speed runs cuz it's already fairly short.

In my humble opinion, Mega Man did not feel like Mega Man until he got a slide. This is what makes my favorite in the series easily MM3.
I love the bosses and the level design and I even love that it's way longer than many MM games.

I love the Shadowrun the TTRPG. So when they decided to make another video game after like 20yrs, I was beyond ecstatic. This setting is amazing. A blend of cyberpunk and fantasy, Noir and heist stories, tactical and relationship driven. I love this game trilogy so much!

Lunar SSS Complete for PS1 blew me away with its anime cutscenes and battle systems. The story is a bit cliche but it's very endearing and fun. I had the collectors edition and even got the special poster you had to mail away for!

This is a bit of a deep cut but Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland is a game I love and have many fond memories of. I actually owned the game before I knew it was a movie. I was more than excited to find the VHS tape for rent later!

I don't think much needs to be said about this game. Everyone loves it and I think it's still one of the best RPGs ever made. I never owned this game on SNES though I rented it a ton but could never beat it in time. I didn't own and beat it till the PS1 port.

I never played many sports games but NBA Jam was an exception. This game was amazing and most of my experience was playing it as a kid with random people at a local bar lol. I always picked the Charlotte hornets and only because I liked the colors because I knew nothing about basketball.

Most people would put StarCraft here but in spite of me liking the art, story and popularity online of SC1, I without a doubt preferred Red Alert1 more. I have tons of fond memories of playing this with friends on our 56k dialup connections! The game struck the perfect balance of complexity and pace

As gorgeous as Contra Arcade is, I think Contra for NES is a much better game. This game was definitely hard but it never felt as impossible as some games in the NES era. Kid me got good enough that I could get to the last level without codes but never did manage to beat it without the Konami code.

Street fighter alpha 3 is one of my favorite fighting games, right next to ST. I never played this in the arcades but I dumped over a hundred hours into the PS1 port thanks to its World Tour mode.
