In the early/mid 1990s, a gigabyte of anime pictures was immense. (I got these at Katsucon 96.) Back then, getting something like this over dial-up would have taken weeks or months.

I can still remember being there.

2002.
I could tell this was really just a fax machine, with primitive networking.

More CDs.

The Amaryllis, Prism, and M.I.Factory CDs were new and sealed. 10? 15? 20 years before they were opened by my hands?

This doesn't have any songs on it, it's more of a promotional item, but I had it on the wishlist for a while and it was in stock, so now I have it.

I now have Pugyuru on DVD.

I dug into this thing since it didn't work. The soldered-in batteries (from 1983) went flat long ago. The insulting part is, direct replacement 123A cells are readily available. I got new ones for the Vivitar, which still works.

I have enough computers here that it only makes sense that some of them would have Linux.

I got this a few years ago. 2x16GB of DDR4. The exact same set is still available, except now at $250, about 3x the price.

Do not forget what the AI bullshit took from us, and do not forgive those responsible for it.

JDM screwdrivers are a thing. Well, they're really JIS.

I have a working VCR again! It works well enough; fast-forward and rewind are a bit weak.

Now I can watch things like... "Legend of Lemnear" on tape.

This one would be working if not for a tiny broken plastic tab for that spring. I'll figure something out.

Parts for the next R/C build. Motor, speed controller, program card, radio, servo, and battery.

Here's a grunty old beast of a VCR from 1984. The tuner is analog, and wires everywhere.

I'm taking it apart to put some new belts in. There are also some idler tires but getting to those may require obtaining a tome of ancient wisdom.

Trying to breathe some life back into some old VCRs. Normal people would have just tossed something like this long ago.

Enjoy the aesthetic of a VCR from the late 1980s loading and playing its first tape after a belt replacement.

I'm sure Lego released this as another Euro-spec truck but I know a Truck-kun when I see one.
