after a long break in-between, i finally beat Final Fantasy VI.
i don't even know what to say. it's a beautiful game, a beautiful experience, and a beautiful *thing* in general. ultima and dual cast are also beautiful things, too.

Took a look at Hoodwinked! again after 10 some-odd years and I think it holds up pretty good. Some of the shots still look really pretty despite the production and tight budget. It was kind of surreal watching as an adult and being able to recognize modelling and texture techniques.

i love interpreting his personality through whatever little bits of dialogue (copycat in saffron being one of my favs) but my absolute favourite red trait is that gambling canonically brings him visible joy

whenever i dust off wave race, i always go with either ryota or ayumi, but this time i decided to give dave a shot. glacier coast gave some trouble but we made it through!

Checked out FFIV's 3D remake and one of the things that bugged me (aside from the framerate) is Cecil having his face showing even as a Dark Knight.
I like in the original where his face is hidden until he becomes a Paladin. Really adds to his character, IMO.

i somehow completely missed the anniversary of "rocket strike on moon mountain". honestly one of the most memorable and funny moments of my life, lol
