Dobson didn't even try to get back. This is going in the wrong direction very rapidly. I think the goalies have lost confidence in the d men. I think the d-men don't trust the system. Didn't they play better last year when they scrapped this system?

I'm more concerned about the defensive system than I am the goalies. Seems like it all started into the tank when Guhle went down

He seems to be the only defenseman who plays big. I think the defensive system might call for smaller, more mobile defenders, but it isn't working. Desperately need Guhle.

I fear so much was out into buttressing Montembeault that Dobes is now struggling. I think the loss of Guhle has been huge. I think MSL needs to look at how he gives playing time, too. Not a good game. Clearly much work to be done to be ready for the playoffs.

I'm wondering why Struble is playing as much as he is. He has seemed to struggle this game without consequence.

It's a bad call that is theoretically made by Toronto deciding he has time to reset. I have no reason to believe the league won't interject further on Ottawa's behalf, so I'll stop watching now.

Worse yet, this feeds the notion that the league has a bias against Montreal. If this was clear cut, then it's a goal, but it wasn't clear, and this just feeds a negative narrative.

So, Toronto over ruled the on ice call. I tend to agree with the on ice call. He's impeded by Giroux. So, why isn't it a penalty on Giroux, and the puck blown dead when Ottawa gets it for the shot?
