The widespread use of lever buttons to operate things like telegraphs and typewriters meant starting in the 1880s, people began patenting electric push-buttons. These were criticized philosophically for hiding how a device worked but found widespread acceptance anyway

Don't think that's til the winter classic but should make that interesting. And yeah don't know what we'd do without Turbo's energy

Movie 9: American Gothic. Has the vibes of a VHS tape you rent after you've seen most everything else in the horror section. Has some well executed slow burn scares, but I got uncomfortable with a) leaning on disability/mental illness as horror, and b) excessive gadding about to music

Movie 8: The Black Phone. Maybe my favorite so far? Pretty restrained on scares but I loved the execution of "Metal Gear codec calls from the beyond"

Movie 7: Creepshow. Fairly standard 80s anthology horror. Liked the comic book framing and seeing a villainous Leslie Nielsen. Adrienne Barbeau was done dirty in this though.

Movie 6: Tales From the Hood. Surprisingly good and has aged well. The framing device adds humor and camp while the social messages are just as relevant now as ever. Features an amazing death by paper crumpling
