I thought the finale was great, but I agree that James Gunn calling it the craziest shit ever created expectations it didn’t live up to.
I ended up finding GOTG Vol 3 underwhelming and I think that’s a big reason for it.

Yeah very frustrating. Been enjoying how this show evolved and really enjoyed the current silly comedic style that I think Colbert is amazing at.
I hope his show simply morphs into a similar show elsewhere with all his staff/crew.
