And the „left alone“ thing is probably because of much more hate nowadays across all platforms - also in music / art. Too express yourself to flee from a toxic world just to release it into a toxic world again, getting hate comments etc.

I think there is probably a big part of the people that still want to play big shows, be successful and everything but too many times they saw others fail, heard the bad stories etc.
There is also so much more competition that people don‘t see it as a goal anymore. „Why should it i be successful?“
