Penn Station is thought of as a poor relation to Grand Central, but it is pretty impressive space now they have revamped it and exposed the glass roof.

Hudson Yards is a new development built over the still active railway yards that feed into Penn Station and features the Vessel observation deck/sculpture.

The Highline, built on top of the old elevated railroad, gets better every time we visit as the planting becomes more established.

Little Island is a new park built on stilts over the Hudson River. A little oasis on the edge of the city with winding paths, secret hideaways and an amphitheatre for open air performances.

We’ve been coming to New York for more than 25 years and it’s our absolute favourite city. We have made the Soho/Tribeca area our second home and love the neighbourhood for the laid back vibe, fabulous architecture, cool people, restaurants cafes and bars.

A big thank you to Althorp House for hosting the literary festival this weekend. Fascinating to hear the stories behind the stories. We were lucky to hear PeterJames, author of The Grace novels, Clare Mulley on Agent Zo, female Polish Resistance Agent in WW2 and Harlan Coben.
