Now on FirstView, in EuConst, a paper I had the pleasure of coauthoring with @przemekpalka.bsky.social on why the unique characteristics of data protection rights under EU constitutional law should make us rethink the GDPR's system of administrative enforcement!

Hey hivemind, what are the good texts about disguising political choices in law and technology as technical ones? Stuff like the normativity of coding, the politics of architectures created by designers? thanks!

Hey everyone, could you recommend (1) a reading about critical legal studies (as a method, not a historical movement) and (2) a reading where the author uses this method, which I could use as an illustration for students? curious what different people consider good. thanks!

An Uber from my flat in Krakow to the railway station (1.6 km, 20 mins walk), right now, when it's raining, costs MORE than the train ticket from Krakow to my hometown (110 km, 1.5 h drive). Not sure what to think of this.

I feel empowered by the mindblowing number of boxes I need to tick to make sure that all listservs and public administration process my data in accordance with the GDPR, as this clearly is the most important way of ensuring that my privacy is protected.

why are there journals whose house style holds that parts or sections should be unnumbered? who came up with this, who does it help? why do I have to change "See below, section 2.1.3" to "See below, section TITLE TELLING YOU NOTHING ABOUT WHERE TO LOOK FOR IT?" Europeans are so strange

(1) mental costs of social media, and how the consumer law’s focus on physical health and purchasing behavior paved the way for mental health externalities;
(2) how doctrinal legal scholarship, still popular in many jurisdictions, is methodologically close to literature/theology and not social sci
Bluesky academics, let's get to know each other! Quote this & tell me: 1) a project you are working on & 2) an odd idea/theory you aren't working on but keep thinking about.

We’ve posted the updated “Amazon’s Pricing Paradox.” It examines how Amazon’s search algorithm and interface design influence prices. It’s relevant to the recent FTC antitrust case but adds another layer. Comments welcome!
