Parties can build up and go for smaller goals and push reforms and grow without entering the national ballot. Working Families and DSA do this. They're successful because they acknowledge that it's dumb to fight dems at a national level when they'll both just lose.

Amazingly: that's not what I said! You should when you can vote for parties who are working towards making a more plural system; when those parties are physically capable of winning. If they can't you vote for the party that isn't openly fascist.

There aren't. Because of the way the US system is built, no third party candidate has a shot of actually achieving victory. Voting third party is about as effective as spoiling your ballot. So talking about other candidates just ends up sounding hollow.
