I appreciate this thread. I’ve seen lots of dogpiling on Walz over recent comments, and am struggling to figure out my own thoughts on the issue. I usually find Walz to be an excellent communicator, and more often than not communicating something I agree with. This particular statement rubs me wrong

THANK you. It makes my f'ing eye twitch when someone chirps up with that preening nonsense. Mr. Rogers' *whole deal* was treating everyone - incl. kids - with the love, dignity, and respect that they inherently deserve. The message was for you too - because he wasn't talking down to anyone.

To the point that you've articulated well over the past year, Conway strikes me as "team fight". Am I wrong in wishing that there was a (ideally R) district that he might be competitive in? Or should we be resisting carpet-bagger republicans across the board?
