September is Sickle Cell Awareness Month and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Awareness Month. Both use red as their representative colour. 

Sickle cell disease is a term for inherited haemoglobin-related blood disorders. FASD affects people who were exposed to alcohol in the womb.

June is Myasthenia Gravis (MG) Awareness month. MG is a chronic autoimmune disease which impacts the communication between nerves and muscles. Currently, there is exciting work being done with biologics, CART cell therapy, and stem cell transplants which offer potential cures!
