If you ever can't think of something to think about in the shower, just remember that everyone is basically a walking skeleton with eyeballs like in a Saturday morning cartoon. We're all just polite about it and pretend not to notice.

Whenever I feel like my life is going badly, I remind myself that the characters in my story have it so much worse. Then I feel better. Then I start thinking of what other "misfortunes" might befall them in the next chapter.
