Are you calling to Allāh and or are you calling to yourselves?
Sheikh Ṣāliḥ Al-Fawzān:
"...Some people, when they are not praised or encouraged, stop giving Da’wah. This is evidence that they are not calling to Allāh, but rather calling to themselves..."

Al-Imām ibn Hazm (rahimahullah) said:
