In my opinion Istanbul-Ankara and Ankara-Sivas should be built in that way too… The only HSL line which is a good idea is Polatli-Konya section

Watching trains blast past at 140 km/h right in front of me at this abandoned (and never-used) halt almost makes me feel like I’m back in France—or any western EU country.

The Menemen-Aliağa section (25 km) in the north of the Izmir is the fastest section in all of the non-HSR network in Turkey, used only by commuter trains, where they can run at 140 km/h without any interruption…
