If we get Borrego, it’ll be huge.

One positive about Mike Brown is that he leans on his assistants and they have bigger roles. Something he picked up with Warriors and really leaned into with the Kings. Rick Carlisle does the same.

It’s a big departure from Thibs who sorta runs the ship by himself

He’s not Greg Poppovich or Eric Spo, but I think he’ll be fine.

This is legit the best Knicks roster in 40-50 years and definitely the best roster he’s ever gonna coach. he’s done some great things in his careers with some mediocre teams. I’ll give him a chance.

Bullshit Knicks for clicks. I understand why the Knicks front office stopped talking to reporters.

They asked about specific coaches in the league they felt would fit the roster before expanding the search to the available options. Nothing wrong with that approach.

This entire “no plan” narrative is ridiculous.
I’m forever grateful to Thibs, he got us out of the doldrums and instilled a gritty culture on this team at a very dark moment in its history.

But it was clear that there were flaws that needed addressing and he was losing confidence from all parties

Yeah if anything, the Knicks got every coach they asked about paid and their contracts extended lol.

So you would go looking for a replacement coach while still employing Thibs? Sounds sort of dysfunctional to me.

Never heard of a workplace actively recruiting to replace a current employee.

What would’ve been your plan? Please enlighten us.

Isn’t it worse to be openly planning a replacement coach before firing the current one?

You right, shouldn’t have called him a dummy. Meant it in a playful way.

It doesn’t matter what part of the season they’re at. This was still the maximum dollar amount that couldve been offered.

It became obvious that iHart and his agent wanted to wait till the end of the year.
June 14, 2025 at 5:26 AM
You’re pushing the perception an error was done. There’s nothing the Knicks could’ve done to retain iHart.
June 14, 2025 at 5:21 AM
No dummy. Because of the CBA rules, the Knicks were limited in how much they could offer Hartenstein using Early Bird Rights.
The Knicks offered him a maximum of four years, $72.5 million.

The gm had his hands tied. OKC came in with the godfather offer that he couldn’t/shouldn’t turn down.

We literally offered him everything we were allowed to.

What you on John.
Detroit being just as physical.

Why is he yelling

I don’t think the cost of medical is the limiting factor to the number of doctors. These medical schools need to open up more seats and increase the supply of doctors in the pipeline.
