Nice of the College to do a "geospatial analysis" about travel time, but completely ignore the costs of travel and accommodation. As one of the 16%, any chance of a reduction in the subscription?

That's fair enough, I don't think I could say I've made friendships through social media, since that's not how I use it. Personally, I think it's on its way out, I don't think BlueSky will ever be the equivalent of MedTwitter in its heyday. Things have moved on.

I've lost interest in social media, to be honest. Twitter was a good resource for MedEd before it became toxic, but you'd usually still end up with the same people arguing. You know who'd be summoned if you mentioned VL... I don't think I'm the only one who can't really be bothered with it now.

In my department, TIVA use increased exponentially when we had a £££ deal to supply new monitoring across the health board. We managed to get integrated BIS monitors everywhere there was an anaesthetic machine. Similarly when each theatre got three TCI capable pumps. Barrier to entry lowered.

I raise you this delightful scene. My favourite is probably the urine bag hanging over the power strip. Or possibly the pillow being held in place by the elastic tourniquet...

Nowadays we mostly induce in theatre, but if using the anaesthetic room, we use a wheely drip stand to mount the pumps and just wheel it through with the bed.
