Finished three end grain cutting boards for a friend. They are made from a reclaimed butcher’s block. I left them as is applying only an oil finish. I also completed an ocean waves charcuterie board.

Today, me, one of my best buds and my closest friends son had a visit with his dad. We poured him a fine rum and coke and all had a wee dram ourselves. Miss you Laur. The goal posts of the SARFC in the background. We have deep roots to that club. Many a game played and some hilarious nights of fun.

My buddy asked me to fix this butcher block up. I will have to cut each board off, square and level all four sides of each board. Glue it all back together then cut it all apart across the grain and glue it all back again to end up with an endgrain cutting board.

I have had a Canada flag in the yard for decades. In Alberta more than ever it is very important. These two are at the river property.
