Their popularity is derived from perceived scarcity. They are only sold by one vendor for a relatively short period of time. They are not gourmet, they are a mass produced. They are fine, but not worthy of the cult-like following.

I mean sorta. You still bent the knee to the demands of MLS, and compromised the competition.

Happy to accidentally help! I was genuinely curious. I think the prevailing consensus is people are excited about it but have a little concern about age.
January 27, 2025 at 5:08 PM
Hahaha I was VERY confused
January 27, 2025 at 5:00 PM
Not a fan of his return?
January 27, 2025 at 4:43 PM
Okay cool you “win.” Will you stop now?
January 26, 2025 at 9:14 PM
No, that wasn’t my point. Have a great day.
January 26, 2025 at 5:24 PM
You literally can! Nearly every game played yesterday was streamed by their respective teams! This is so dumb. I’m done with this waste of time conversation
January 26, 2025 at 5:23 PM
They still do that!
January 26, 2025 at 3:58 PM
Clearly.
January 26, 2025 at 3:58 PM
Yes. That’s not what we are talking about. Every team does that for SOME games. The Atlanta game was also broadcast on Atlanta’s website. MLS/Apple level production isn’t viable.
January 26, 2025 at 3:56 PM
It is interesting, for heavily involved fans! but it isn’t worth the expense of a national broadcast! This isn’t hard. It’s literally just a cost thing. Teams broadcast some preseason games where the TV infrastructure is cheap and possible and they do it on their own channels.
January 26, 2025 at 2:56 PM
Is MLS at the level of global notoriety for the teams in the premier league? No. Also those games aren’t televised because TV production is EXPENSIVE. This is an entirely false equivalence.
January 26, 2025 at 2:14 PM
The players and coaches do not care about results, it’s about fitness, on boarding tactics and trialing fringe players. That is not a product for public consumption nor a product that a casual viewer would become a league fan as a result of. There is ZERO upside to the expense of broadcast.
January 26, 2025 at 4:24 AM
Preseason “games” aren’t games. They are glorified training sessions with our of shape players playing trialists in tiny stadia often as closed scrimmages. They aren’t going to move the needle to bring in new fans and the expense of broadcast production FAR out weigh the potential benefits.
January 26, 2025 at 4:21 AM
Like Latte Lath who Boro have been playing every game and just limped off injured.
January 25, 2025 at 4:47 PM
And this is why teams shouldn’t play players who they are negotiating transfer for.
January 25, 2025 at 3:56 PM
You want this shit, go post on the Nazi site. I don’t have the time or the patience for being told what to do by a random person on the internet.
January 22, 2025 at 9:32 PM
What the fuck are we doing here or exactly? I don’t know you. I was not being combative. I wasn’t even originally talking to you. You jumped in to an existing conversation, altered the topic and are now mad that I won’t entertain your demands? Fuck off into the sun.
January 22, 2025 at 9:30 PM
Okay but this had nothing to do with the conversation at hand. Also I don't care?
January 22, 2025 at 8:33 PM
The owner of the site did a Nazi salute at the inauguration! He actively supports the far-right Nazi party in Germany. Any outlet who still seeks to engage with users there is accountable for their support of his views. You want to use it to keep tabs on the right? Fine. But posting there HARMS.
January 22, 2025 at 4:16 PM
So you think it is therefore *someone’s* responsibility to be there, tacitly supporting the hate of the platform for some unknowable potential balance it *might* provide? No. Absolute not. Any “sensible” media still there is actively supporting the platform and therefore not sensible.
January 22, 2025 at 4:11 PM
There isn’t a plan. Plans cost money, something the league doesn’t want to do.
January 22, 2025 at 1:45 PM
Sorry! Not my intention to muddy the waters!
January 22, 2025 at 1:55 AM
My post that mentioned them was in direct response to comment I made on this thread. I apologize for the confusion and for engaging with someone who was pulling focus from the topic at hand.
