I agree, but my generation are unaliving out. I also like the smell of vinyl and the static before tunes play, but that's not for GenZ.

To be fair, I think that most haven't changed their operating model for a hundred years. Libraries need to be reinvented. My GenZ kids say they can't see the point when one can download books and research online. They think they are relics of a bygone era like video stores.

3. My proposal would be to give the tax receipts ( 40% of your rent) back to the renter as a rebate, at a stroke it would reduce rental costs... So everyone is a winner. 😍

2. Here's something controversial. How about asking landlords how they would fix the housing problem? Labour heard from the likes of Shelter, Generation rent but not the other side, that's why the bill is called the "Renter's Rights act" & not the "The Tenancy & Landlord Rights Act"

1. Shame the Landlord section wasn't longer. The new RRA ( No fault evictions) won't do anything for the 3 evictees as eviction to sell a property would still be allowed. Also, only one caller spoke about the lack of availability... This will get worse, compounding the issue.

You can't blame Starmer, The Tories themselves boxed themselves into a corner. Remember the mantra " no one's ever talking about leaving the trade deal" But Johnson did it to secure the right wing even though he didn't think it made any sense.
