Programmer at heart. C languages, love C#.

Dreaming of bringing a concept to the C# ecosystem, but still thinking on what is the best way, all while being bogged down in life with young kids and a busy job.
Interesting question!

Most logical use would be number related:
- next weekday (modulo calc in general)
- tuple of numbers with specific increment logic (version nr)
- next random number

A bit more abusive:
- add an instance to a collection with default constructor/value
- trigger a (simple) event

Let's not go bananas.

var shorthand = Fruit.Banana

is sufficiently short imo ;)

A la Notepad++
Good idea

CommunityNotes will help, but a native(!) "fake" and "parody" labeler will be way faster. Nuance it by showing the top label(s) with percentage % certainty next to the label (=number persons/visits that agreed), to minimize the Bluesky population that gets exposed without this meta data

On which platform are you? I just checked, saw the timestamp, then updated the app, and still seeing a timestamp. On Android.

Please elaborate. Curious to know what the better options are and why.

Great! 👍 Can't wait VS to catch up with more GIT functionality.

Especially support for git submodules; no history is shown (in the statusbar) for lines in a source file from a submodule

Fair point. Was not suggesting it be a very hard question, but combine two goals: have the people read the article (click link, spent time), and e.g. answer say one or two multiple choice style questions that in essence highlight the author core message. Retries allowed.

The questions should not be a simple knowledge test;

It should ensure the reader gets the core point(s) of the author, to counter reading comprehension problems.

Btw, the questions could also ensure the reader gets te core point(s), to counter reading comprehension problems others talked about

No you are not, this is part of the process.

On android, the link is opened inside the app, so at least the app could track.

Unsure about other platforms. Web version would open a new tab, so hard to track the time spent

Maybe a quiz with one or more questions is really the only way...

Yes, had my fair share of challenges. You use .gitattributes to enforce line endings going into GIT?

Yes! Besides a Patreon-like continuous cash stream, would be nice to have a gofundme-like funding round per feature, so that many people can contribute towards the impl costs.

To also give it a more positive vibe (explain why and how of the feature), without the entitlement some people project.

I think people should only post if it really adds something. Sure, be funny, shitpost.

But if people post too much nonsense, they increase the chance to be unfollowed by me.

I want high-quality posts with as little scrolling as possible. Time is scarce
