In a sense, you become addicted to the very notion of having all of your problems solved for you, never wanting to endure problems ever again. Is it laziness, or just a bad way to cope with the issues that life throws at you? Who knows!

Be cautious though, because it's said that drinking too much of the water will make you want to stay at the ruins forever, never to leave for civilization ever again.

At the bottom of the hill from which the ruins rest upon, there's a fountain that once connected to the ruins. It's said to once be the fountain of wisdom. Take a sip from it, and the spring waters will give you a single answer to the issue that troubles your heart the most.

This place has a unique flower known as the shrimp flower, named that after the ruins. On a sizzling summer day, these flowers blossom and smell like buttered shrimp, oftentimes leaving the squiddos hungry after finishing their matches for the day.

These ruins are evidence of something once being here. Archeologists are still trying to figure out what it is, whether it being a god or not, that's up to you to decide.

This god could take many forms, and could easily transform between a humanoid form, or disguise themselves as a shrimp, which was their favorite disguise when they couldn't use their humanoid form.
May 12, 2025 at 1:43 AM
Legend has it that thousands of years ago, when the first cephalopeople came to land and acquired their current humanoid forms, they praised a god that allowed them to do so.

The aura of a god resides here. Is it a shrimp god? Was it a god obsessed with shrimp frying rice? Can a shrimp fry rice? The statues seem to give an answer of their own.

Either way, introducing Shrimp Saganaki Ruins!

The catch to this motormouth? You can damage it with ink, causing it to detonate faster. If it's detonated early, it'll splat the user, so use it wisely!

The Orca leaves giant trails of ink behind, letting you roll over your opponents in it's wake, and detonates after the engine overheats and causes it to explode.

This special is a souped up motorized tricycle that's banned from motor derbies for causing too much collateral damage to the stadiums when they crash. So, these guys were released to the public for squiddos to use in turf and more!

There's a metro train that runs nearby the road that is seen here, and it is taken care of by the Kambaba Corporation, who had quite the business shakeup after the last CEO went missing. The current CEO, Trident Bay, takes care of all metro train lines that lead in and out of New Aqualona.

These days, the lighthouse is now automatically kept up via modern technology, which will notify the city officials immediately if a bulb pops out.

A long time ago, a single old man used to live there, but after he passed, his house was left on the giant cliff upholding the lighthouse, out of respect for his memory. A plaque has been left on the house as well.

The lighthouse has been there for over a few centuries now, and has saved ships over the decades from wrecking into the rocky coastline. If you live close enough to the beach, you can see the shining beacon of light that comes from the giant shell shaped lamp.

And those green/yellow/white dots aren't just dots. Those are bioluminescent barnacles that glow in the dark. It is also believed that they get their glowing ability from the meteorite as well.

Because of this myth, there is a yearly holiday known as "Floral Day," where plant life and the Earth is celebrated. Tourists from all around the world flock to the city when this day comes. In fact, the town is a vacation hotspot during the warmer months of the year!

It's said that the meteorite is embedded into the cliff that's by the lighthouse, which is now covered by flowers. (Depicted on the far left, right behind the lighthouse.)

According to ancient mythology, a meteorite crashed into the shoreline's hill by the lighthouse one day, and over time, new plant life came from it. It is said to be the origin of New Aqualona's unique floral ecosystem.

This rocky beach is a interesting one, and it's the first designation you see when you travel to New Aqualona either by boat or by metro train. The rocky coastline is littered with unique glow in the dark flowers that illuminate brilliantly in the night, showing off the song of life in town.

Keep in mind that the defense on this thing is incredibly thin, but creates quite the powerful impact when used in a proper way!
