On January 30, 2025, Congressman Glenn Ivey met with PROGRESS Co-Directors Joseph Richardson and Woodie Kessel during his visit to the University of Maryland. The dialogue continued on February 25, when the co-directors met with Congressman Ivey at his U.S. Capitol offices.

Yesterday, PROGRESS Co-Director Jo Richardson joined other public health leaders for an @PostLive discussion on the number one cause of death for children and teens in America: gun violence.

On Oct 17, 2024, PROGRESS held a dialogue at UMD on design justice and equitable partnerships. CBOs and stakeholders discussed engagement best practices, research on violence and tech, and collaboration on MOUs, contracts, and shared goals.

The University of Maryland's College of Behavioral and Social Sciences (BSOS) held a Research Showcase on Inequality on Thursday, May 2, 2024. Alongside a total of 49 other projects, PROGRESS presented a poster under the theme of Health and Well-Being.
