Now I don't believe they can learn. They need to step down or be removed. This seems a perfect example of what Thomas Kuhn describes in "The Structure of Scientific Revolutions." It takes a new generation to embrace a new paradigm.

We definitely should do something about these freeloaders taking advantage of government benefits and drawing salaries for "make work" jobs. Johnson is a prime example.

This has been the name I've used for for it months now. It's the only moniker that fits. The party is as far from the party of Lincoln as it can get.

The Senate Dem "centrists" and Dem Senate leadership have now definitively proven they are spineless, feckless, and corrupt. Schumer should resign for his failure but he won't because he's owned by rich NY donors who are happy with his ineffectiveness.

I sincerely wish we can shift the discussion in this country from universal health insurance coverage to universal healthcare. Insurance is just the intrusion of profit making into a system that should just be providing services as needed like the fire department, postal service, etc.

Left Spotify years ago because of the way it treats the artists it relies on. Recently went from Napster to Tidal. Really enjoying Tidal.

The NYT has never been a liberal paper. It's always been a pro-establishment, corporatist organization. It may have some liberal leaning reporters and OpEd writers, but that's not the editorial direction. Expecting otherwise is naive at best.

When the only tool you have in your intellect is a hammer (e.g. religious fundamentalism) everything starts to look like a nail (e.g Christ and Revelations.)

Despite the claims from the right the the main stream corporate media has always been centrist, establishmentarian, and corporatist. Voices for change always come from outside the MSM.

Institutions of great worth, that tooks decades or longer to be built, can be destroyed by small minded people in an instant. You can look all the way back to the great library of Alexandria for examples. Destruction is easy. Creation is not.

Corporate ownership for profit and good investigative journalism are antithetical to each other. Important stories may not be the most viral. Hard hitting journalism may turn off advertisers. Society needs to fund journalism by other means. #ProPublica shows us one way but there are others.

All that he's describing is just what he sees when he looks in the mirror. He knows deep down that he is nothing and he hates the rest of us because he can't stand this realization. He wants to feel important to try to fill the empty void of his personhood. He will never succeed.

Unfortunately this strain of being "American" goes way back to before the founding of our country. It's enshrined in our original Constitution. We fought a civil war about it. We changed our constitution to fix it but we never got rid of the ideology. It's an undercurrent that has again surfaced.

They are only pro-life pre-birth. After that it's only pro-white "Christian" life as long as you're willing to work for the man for the few meager crumbs left after the owners have had their fill.
