Fact checking. When I read something that seems questionable I ask about it in CoPilot or ChatGPT. Appears to work fairly well. I am not saying it is the final word but it seems to be at least a quick way not to get derailed by arguments based on untruths and often outright lies.

The attack on DEI and eliminating these programs from institutions baffles me. DEI was a major contributor to the increase in women vs men graduating from law school (over 50%). When men dominated graduation rates did we really think men were superior. Do we now think women lawyers are inferior?

I'm concerned about the lack of common metrics in the social sciences. Advances in physical sciences is dependent on common metrics. #rasch and #IRT alone result in "local objectivity"- scales and units connected to assessment items. Linking instruments does not seem to be catching on.
