#LTHEchat A5 If the digital leaders were all themselves digitally fluent and simultaneously committed to introducing new tech which genuinely made life better for staff - wouldn't that the culture change we need?

#LTHEchat A4 Couple of suggestions. Ask the AI to produce an image of a specific historical event and then add up the errors. The other obvious one is 'spot the stereotypes'.

A2 #LTHEchat When folk become 'stuck' on a single or limited approach or worldview, then you have to worry if too much ego is attached to that opinion

#LTHEchat A5 Suspect that you can only eliminate barriers over time by adopting integrated and inclusive approaches re study skills and demonstrating that they 'work'. And you have to keep doing it.

#LTHEchat A2 For students, I often found it was lack of confidence to try new approaches associated with time pressures that discourage experimentation. And staff/the curriculum/the timetable do not provide the space/time to try things out.

#LTHEchat A! My understand is that they are the sum total of strategies and techniques which enable effective study. But the term 'study skills' has always had a negative connotation of 'deficit'. Can we have a new positive name please?

#LTHEchat A5 Because AI/GenAI is being pushed at us (and all our colleagues and students) so relentlessly then we need to make sure that all our students have a reasonable understanding of what it can and cannot do. And what it is likely to be able to to do next year when the agents come rushing in!

#LTHEchat A1 Cannot every GenAI tool be used for 'good' or 'bad' in terms of learning? We have to find out why and how the students are using them. Suppose we allow every student to use any tool as long as they explained their rationale and evaluated their outcomes. How would that change our debate?
