Yes! I greatly appreciated Dicovery giving us new aspirations and technology. The show would have greatly benefitted from 22-episode seasons because it’s clear they had a lot of ideas that deserved more time to marinate.

Discovery is the boldest Star Trek, the most experimental, and the most willing to challenge preconceived notions of what Star Trek can be. The storylines, in my opinion, could be hit or miss but I admire its willingness to push the boundaries of Trek.

I love that Star Trek never talks down to their audience, even kids, but recognizes the complexity of their emotions and thoughts. The kids on Prodigy felt like real teenagers and respected their feelings, fears, and, yes, traumas. It is the best of new Trek in my humble opinion.
