I have completed my latest reading cycle and loved every book. I have no shame when it comes to DNFing a book if I'm not enjoying myself, so you know I enjoyed them. Starting the new cycle off with the classic Animal Farm. #readingcommunity #booklover

Got a pretty early start today, so finished around 11:30 am. These chapters are coming a lot easier because I have taught these classes for so long it's just always on the forefront. I think it will be smooth sailing from here. About 9 more days until 50k!

I couldn't sleep last night, so I woke up later than I wanted fully believing my day of writing was ruined, but no! I met my 2k word goal. I have written 114 pages in a few weeks. This is wild! I am going to give you little sneak peeks. Thought that would be fun. #writingcommunity #communication

Took it easy today and savored the writing process. It took me 6 hrs to write 2k words. When I'm hyperfocused, I can get them written in 4 hrs. There are benefits to both techniques. I chose to go into it relaxed and enjoy the process. Over halfway done! #writingcommunity #communication

I took it easy today, and it ended up taking me 1.5 hours longer than usual. I dont want to end up losing my sanity in this process. 40% done! I worked on the chapter that will inevitably get my book banned, a critical cultural approach to communication. #writingcommunity #communication #academia

Today was a struggle. My body and mind were not cooperating and would not allow early morning writing. I am starting to buckle and feel as though this process is making me go a little cookoo. 1/3 complete! I got to a part today that I felt I had a wealth of knowledge that just flowed so easily I was able to get the 2k words written in about 3 hours. Not all of this book will come that easily, but I have plans today, so it worked out great! #writingcommunity #academia #communication

I finished by 11 am. I don't want to get burnt out, so I will not be writing weekends, and I will stay at 2000 words a day. I should be done with the writing portion by 8/7, which gives me a little less than a month to edit and make sure all the citations are in order. #writingcommunity #academia
