I received the sad news that my friend who is also named Joe Goldblatt in Tempe, Arizona passed away Monday 10 November 2025. I shall miss him all the remaining days of my life. He and I marched together with our wives in the Tartan Day Parade in NYC.

I signed the original SNP Declaration of Independence in 2013 along with Alan Cumming, Brian Cox and many others. Today I was the first to sign, followed by First Minister John Swinney and many others, at the SNP conference in Aberdeen. Now we are closer than ever to being independent again!!!
